What's your take on Zlobin? He's looked good in the series and was awesome at the Memorial Cup. He's looked much better than a 6th rounder. |

He's adjusted to NA this year as you say, he was pretty beastly for Shawini. The reason he was drafted in the 6th is that he's an overager in the draft and his size/defensive play are still detriments. He's got that "one shot" scoring mentality that sometimes won't translate against the goaltenders in the NHL. |

Thanks for the reply.
I've only seen him play a few times and they were all big games. He's been a factor in those games and was wondering why I haven't heard more about him. |

Actually he considers himself to be a Canadian so you'll have to put him in the top 10 Canadian prospects. I see what your doing.
Good work.

NO KIRILL KABNOV?!?!?!
He will be playing in the AHL this year and may get a call up to the NYI. This kid has top-6 potential. Saw him over the summer on LI - he has put on serious weight from his draft year (15-20 lbs) and grown into his body a bit more. |

How can a guy that was compared to Scott Gomez, a total pass-first guy with absolutely no shot, can also be compared to a sniper in Cammaleri? - _Zippy_
Ask Peter Chiarelli. I would guess it goes with his height, perimeter style, speed and creativity. |

I have very little faith in Kabanov, and if he sees time with the Isles this year it's either because they are thinner than Kate Moss, or he goes on hockey steroids. - AdamFrench
What's the story with Kabanov? Every Isles fan I know seems excited about him, everyone else I talk to say they doubt he plays more than 50 NHL games in his career.
Is he a flight risk to the KHL? Or does he have serious personal issues? |

He has the size and natural skill to be a top-six guy. But for whatever reason he just doesn't produce. Flashes of brilliance, flashes of being a power forward, then he's back avoiding hits and going through the motions. He's just never lived up (yet) to what many expected from him like Archambault in the Q, Lessio in the O and other highly hyped 15 year old's that haven't put it together (yet). |
