he had 55 points in 50 games...im not arguing with you, im just trying to understand why you dont think thats considered producing....

He's 20 in the Q. That's very poor for a scoring forward.

A few overagers in the W racked up 120+ pts in their season and it was still considered expected, not impressive.

Brendan Shinnimin.

WHL is a high scoring league compared to the 'Q.

I'm surprised you don't have Namestnikov in your top 10. What are your thoughts and why you don't have him there?

Thanks

It might just be the games I've seen him play, but he's invisible. He's improved this season as Huddle and a few other OHL prospect guys say, but hasn't shown any of his scoring ability he had when he was set to enter the OHL. I could see him as a good second line center if he could keep working on his defensive game like he did his face-off skills.

The top players in the Q ranged from 80 - 100pts with 1 player reaching over 120pts.

While the W players ranged from 80-110pts basically. It was relatively similar.

Even still the point was an over ager who had 55pts in 50 games isn't very impressive.

I know Kabanov had an average year last season.

My point still stands, more goals are scored in the WHL.

Your point was that there is less scoring in the Q and thats why his numbers were low. Being an overager in the Q should put him in the top 20 in points which he was well below. He either had a bad season or isn't as good as he's cracked up to be.

Dude I couldn't care less about Kabanov, trust me. My point was that there are more goals scored in the WHL, so be careful when you compare the productions of a guy in the WHL and in the 'Q.

Especially Shinnimin who played on the top line in the CHL, with Holland and Hughesman.
