I have always had HP products, and although everyone says they're cheap, I,ve never had any problem with them. So from experience I'd say HP, but others would say otherwise.

we use hp at home, both our laps and desktops seem to last for years and years while my mac friends take their stuff to the shop twice a year

i will say our current hp printer is a stinker but that's been the first annoying product we have had from them in 10-12 years

i have had others that were great, dunno why this one sucks but it does. i'll replace it with another hp, except for this one printer i have had zero problems w/ their stuff
