This is called disability. Totally different than welfare.

I have family members (one on my side, and two on my wife's side) who are on disability due to mental illness. Nobody is suggesting these types of cases be forced to find work.

welfare should be a temporary solution, not a career plan.

In Quebec, more than 135K people receive welfare for the past 10 years on average and they thank you.

For the 4 political parties at the provincial level, none of them have any plan to bring these people back in the work force.

For the CP Quebec, welfare should not be a career plan, for us, the fight against poverty won't be won with a cheque from the government.

We propose to limit welfare to a maximum of 5 years per person in his/her life. There is no free money, a mandatory training program will be put in place and if a person has a hard time keeping a job, they will work on community programs.

Canada has a pretty well established history of voting one way provincially, and another way federally. It's as though nobody wants to "put all their political eggs in one basket".
