He'll be traded to Detroit with Lars Eller.

For Valteri Filppula.

They rolled over us on Friday, but only a few of our vets were there. We won quite easily on Saturday 4-1.

And now we just traded for the 9th overall pick this year

Of course, but we're on a blog here Chris. I wouldn't write an article like that

That's just dumb.
You think he'll get stiffer in two or three weeks than in 5 days?
You do realize that if he had a pulled hamstring they would sit him down for a few weeks and send him back out there, right?

Sit him down. Give him a couple of 5 or 6 innning games before the playoffs and try and win a World Series.

- stormeyAlterEgo

No, it's not dumb.
And as for the hamstring analogy, does he throw with his hamstring?

Again, I am not saying I want him shut down. But it has worked this way in the past. It just so happens that they have a great team and they are in first place. They did the same with Zimmermann last year and nobody cared.

It was provided on last night's broadcast. It was Carpenter, Halladay and a third pitcher I cannot remember.

Nothing will be 100% either way. They can shut him down and he may get hurt. They can let him pitch till his arm falls off and he will be fine. There is no way to know for sure.

My suspicion is that your breath smells about as good as my hamstring.

I wouldn't know. His August has been great. His July had some bumps. But I don't think he would slow down - it's not about slowing down.
