That's cause it's more fun to make fun of them and cross your fingers there's still idiots that think that way. I'm definitely sure there's a few...but they also probably still watch the Raptors and think there's a chance in hell that team will some day have success.

Yup, only a matter of time.

But the crappy thing is, as long as (from what I understand) they are making Maple Leafs season ticket holders buy Raptors season tickets; then the financial support is there to maintain the franchise.

IT would be sad to see the team moved but I 100% believe there's 0% chance that team will ever get to a 3rd round playoff series, let alone win a championship.

Toronto/Canada may as well be Uganda to 80% of the American players.

The others, I take as seriously as Sylvester Stallone in "Stop or my mom will shoot"

What free agent is coming to play for the Raptors? What players who are able to, do NOT have a NTC to the Raptors? They have no chance.

Yup, hence my 0%.

My neighbour gets pissed at me when I say these things, he blindly thinks that the team is on the right track.

Even if they are, even if they have some success (a few playoff appearances/wins) any young player that becomes a UFA will bolt immediately for the US and any of the flashy teams.

FACT - The Raptors are possibly worse than being the Columbus Blue Jackets of the NBA.

actually given the dominant ethnicity of the league i think Uganada would be a more attractive option to them than Canada. Canada might as well be... let's say Iceland, or Estonia.

Agreed.

I don't even waste my time following them anymore. Might have watched a total of 10 minutes of Raptors basketball last year, and that was probably because I didn't realize I had left it on.

3M hasn't been around much since the baby was born. Could it be that he's actually happy and has nothing to really whine about and thus nothing to post?

It sure does.

Any sport where you just need a couple superstars to win a championship is lame in my books.

Hockey, Baseball...you need a full, deep and solid team. The superstars of course make a big difference but not like Basketball.

Yes...the spacing was there but apparently I did not hit the "a" with enough force.

Totally agree...the ones saying that the Minessota Wild are doing the same thing as the Miami Heat are idiots...you can't win a championship with 2 guys in hockey. Remember the Colorado Avalanche with Selanne and Kariya ? Didn't win...

Football is probably the sport where you need the most depth though...guys get injured all the time.
