Totally agree...the ones saying that the Minessota Wild are doing the same thing as the Miami Heat are idiots...you can't win a championship with 2 guys in hockey. Remember the Colorado Avalanche with Selanne and Kariya ? Didn't win...

Football is probably the sport where you need the most depth though...guys get injured all the time.

I'm not a football fan, but I can totally see that.

What Minnesota did was more around Marketing and trying to show their fans they're serious. Adding those two definitely helps, but that team will be crazy in about 3-4 years. I don't expect much more than at most 1 playoff round win next year, but also wouldn't be shocked if they missed the playoffs. Their D isn't ready yet.
