The mason jars, yes. That would be canned moose... my dad used to get that from NFLD. all the time in the 80's. Loved that poop.

No. We eat it when we get back to camp. It's tradition.

Thing is, we are 7 in our group and the lottery has not been kind. I think we ended up with 1 tag in the last 7 years. Not as much motivation to get a calf.

One of the guys that helped haul it out took the liver of ours to give it to a buddy then later on after we had finished taking it(700 lb Bull) to the butcher a crazy drunk newfie offered 50 lb of lobster for it but we gave it away already.

Not many guys want to take holidays for a calf so our group is reduced and much tougher to cover our territory.

We were only 4 last year and it was over 20 degrees every day. Switched to fishing in the afternoon.
