DD is a great player, that's a given, BUT if you had your choice for C for lines 1 & 2 and had to choose from:

DD, Eller, PLeks, Gally

And I'm not talking this year or next but 2-3 years down the road, who do you choose and you can only pick 2 and maybe put one on 3rd line.

It has NOTHING to do with not liking DD, just the number of positions available.

- braidan

Long term, I'd pick Gally on the first (if he becomes what we all expect), DD on the second, and Eller on the 3rd.
I'd trade Pleck for a winger.

i'm sure QP has seen Galchenyuk live about 45 times.

You'd have to believe in reincarnation and QP's omnipotence for that.

Cole--who's spent a good chunk of his career playing with Staal and Brind'Amour--had a career season playing with DD.

So Eller goes from a 30 goals 75 points top 6 center to a shutdown center ?

I love reading your opinions. I know they will be objective and contain no biases whatsoever.

My wife just called me after leaving from her doctors appointment.
Doc told her, " I will be on call this weekend, see you on Friday or saturday!"

Looks like my princess will be here sooner than expected.

Your location really isn't as funny with hot dogs instead of Richards.

Tell me if you understand the following words:

Best

Case

Scenario

You can try one at a time if it is easier. Perhaps take off that headband thing you like to wear when you're riding your tricycle around town. Odds are, it's squeezing your already pit-sized cerebellum.

If Eller is the third line center down the road, then we are in very good shape.
THAT was my point.

I like the kid. Good size, good puck protection, but he doesn't have the vision DD has. And will never do.

The only way I sign DD long term is if its for a very reasonable amount say 3 mill. He's a great passer but was carried by his wingers this year, he does have potential but I just don't see him here long term. I rather pleks or Eller as the #2 center behind Gally and DD can't play 3rd line. If we sign him at a low cap hit and he doesn't grow past 60 points we can find a place to trade him, if he does develop past 60 points than we keep him and Gally as the 1-2 (kinda like a lite version of Crosby Malkin) and we can ship Pleks or Eller.
- Habsforever101

Not sure a guy with 22 assists in 160 games is an ideal top two center.

None of the rest I agree with.
