Have we traded for Bobby Ryan yet? - Philly1980
Yes, we flipped him for Luke Schenn and Ruslan Fedotenko and resigned Michael Leighton.
Tada... Your 2013-2014 Philadelphia Flyers! |

the interpretation is screwy with ancient texts, the message is intended for greed. To further elaborate I love money, but I love to have what I need to sustain myself. Nothing wrong with that. Now wanting more than what you need and doing it to the point of depriving others which is rightfully theirs, that is greed and it's the root of all evil. - JoeRussomanno
Not really, when you've had students of the texts painstakingly copy said texts with scrutiny. The Dead Sea Scrolls prove how accurate the texts have been passed down, to say nothing of the hand of Providence at work. The line is "The love of money is a root of all kinds of evil." From the aforementioned texts we learn selfishness / pride is the original root. |

No, we traded JVR for Ryan and we let Carle walk and traded Pitkanen for Fedotenko.

it was drilled into my head for 11 years, the text is meant for greed. Love is not evil nor is it obsessive. |

We had a slow moving crazy storm yesterday.
I'm good. Hanging in there, making changes to better my health and hating them.
Jason's 6' 195 and starting his U16 season tomorrow. High School in a week. He's growing up too fast for me.
How's Adrian? |

I don't think Wellwood is an absolute lock for an NHL roster spot, but he's got a job to lose as the 11th forward. Rinaldo has the inside track for the 12th forward role, and that leaves Shelley and Sestito to compete for the "extra" spot. - bmeltzer
I'd rather somebody else get it before Sestito or Shelley. |

Thanks Bill Great article. I asked earlier when you were out about Pavel Kubina and why there was no talk about bringing him back, especially with the crisis of Injured D. Do you know if it's an injury thing or was it something in his play that the Brass wasn't happy about? Or do the Flyers just feel their rookies are in a better place than Kubina? Just curious if you had any insight on the subject. Thanks. |

Kubina did have nagging injury issues -- shoulder and back -- and had been on IR earlier in the season while in Tampa for lower body issues but was "healthy enough to play" in the playoffs. The tank looked to be on empty.
Kubina apparently wants to finish out his NHL career either with Tampa or Florida, but the Bolts allegedly aren't interested in bringing him back and Florida's interest is mild. He supposedly had a big-dollar, two year offer from Columbus (even though he'd be on an over-35 contract) and turned it down.
Before he packed up on locker clean-out day, Kubina seemed resigned not returning to the Flyers. Previously he had said he'd like to finish his career in Philly and that's why he waived his NTC to come to the Flyers.
It appears the Flyers aren't interested in bringing him back, even with all the injuries and the departure of Carle.
