It's not difficult for a guy like Zach Parise to give up 24% of the brand new contract he just signed, before he plays a game with his new team?
There is already revenue sharing in the NHL. Teams like Philly, Montreal and Toronto already give a part of their profit to Nashville and Phoenix. It's also not as if somebody's suggesting that the Leafs and Habs give up all their profit. Those teams, the Flyers, Bruins and Rangers will still make a ton of cash.

They don't make as much as you think. If they don't make the playoff, they barely make a profit. Of course the Leafs and Rangers are the exception. The Molsons make their money from the Events side of the business because they own the building. The Canadiens don't make the playoffs for a couple of years and they will lose money.
I believe there should be revenue sharing for the good of the league long term. I also believe the owners should have atleast 50% of hockey related revenues so they can continue to invest in their teams (building, technology etc).
I'm not worried about guys like Parise who could be worried about rollbacks. He should be worried about his teams ability to pay his salary. Even worse for Weber.
