The Iggles won't win five games this year. Vick is going to be carted off sometime in the near future, the offensive line doesn't know how to protect him at all.
I can't believe the love affair with Vick--contrast that with how poorly Bryz has been treated by this city, it amazes me. You'd think Vick had won five super bowls and participated in a coronation as the next Pope, while Bryz kicks puppies and makes three-year-olds cry by dumping their ice cream sandwich in the garbage can. - KGBflyers10
Forget Bryz.. People HATED McNabb. The guy is the best QB to put on the jersey, and put up his numbers with no-name receivers over the majority of his career. He was also a very fun loving guy who seemed like a pretty cool dude. I have never heard a bad thing about him from people who knew him when he was here.
Yet Vick gets out of prison, signs here, and is the best! |

It used to be extremely common -- less so today, but still not uncommon -- for European players to speak their minds very candidly with their home media because they knew there was little to no chance of the comments coming back on them in North America. - bmeltzer
Are his comments good for the team? I can't imagine this plays well in a locker room that already had issues (reportedly). |

It was his passive aggressiveness and inability to forget about being booed at the draft that did him in. Throwing up in the huddle in the superbowl didn't help either. |

Chris Therien just signed a 10 year deal to stay on radio color for Flyers ......everyone signing long term deals.
This true?

No idea. Who listens to games on the radio these days? I don't even live within range of WIP. The little I have heard of Saunders and Therien they are awful.
I long for the days of Prism and Gene Hart. I wish the Flyers never let Doc Emrick go. It's hard to like him as good as he is, because he's the voice of the Devils. |

Can't blame the guy for playing through illness, but he did come across as a bit self important. Still, he didn't deserve the hate he got. As for Vick, I guess I'm blissfully ignorant of the lovefest for him. He's every bit as mediocre as this Eagles team is (being generous here). |

Saunders calls a very good game IMO... Bundy gets too emotional at times, but does a decent job. |

I can't see the Eagles extending Big Red's contract if the Eagles dont make the playoffs. |

according to people there it did. I don't care either way just stating what happened with him. Heckuva quarterback no doubt my own personal criticism with him was it seemed like he never had that big postseason comeback in the 4th quarter. Or that late game drive to win it. Whenever he had those opportunities it ended up in an interception or incomplete. But at the end of the day he's no doubt the best Quarterback to play for the Eagles since 1960. |

Really? Cause it did. He suffered a concussion during the Super Bowl and played through it.
What really irked me about McNabb is that the team would go three and out and he would jog to the sidelines with a huge smile on his face as if it wasn't a big deal. |

The team's been rather loyal to Andy, I wouldn't be surprised if he was extended anyway. |

In the Super Bowl he wasnt sick... and he never vomited. Total myth. Also funny that most people forget that immediately following the hit to the ribs which caused the GASPING for air... McNabb tossed a beautiful 30 yd TD pass to Greg Lewis. |

You really think that was all Freddie Mitchell on that play?

Yes, folks that work nights would listen to radio. Forgot about that. I haven't really heard enough of the radio guys to form an educated opinion. Saunders has a voice to me that is nails on a chalkboard. |

People only care about one thing Championships. He won ZERO and therefore wouldnt be loved in Philly. He was a successful QB no question about it but never won the big one. |

Never puked. He got hit in the ribs by Teddi Bruschi and suffered a costal cartilage strain. Had the wind knocked out of him and went into a coughing fit.
Even Westbrook has stated that. Also, there is no footage of him puking, but there is of him coughing and gasping. |

I guess considering the pool to work hockey radio they are fine. Basically the guys who do radio aren't good enough to do TV. |

Perhaps Timmy's voice is an acquired taste
Fortunately, I got Comcast to throw in free basic cable when we switched over at the office, so I'll get to at least watch some of those games this season |

I think Lurie would of done it already when Andy's agent made those comments about extending him. He's had 13 years to win a championship. Hes been successful but this is what have you done for me lately type of league and its been awhile since they got far in the playoffs. I understand the loyalty and what happened with his son but its still a business and changes happen in the NFL. |

The next day, center Hank Fraley said of McNabb on Comcast Sportsnet’s Angelo Cataldi Show: “He gave it his all. He was almost puking in the huddle. One play had to be called by Freddie Mitchell because Donovan was mumbling because he was almost puking.”
Note the word almost. Twice.
Mitchell’s take, as quoted Feb. 9: “You could see that he was dealing with some kind of complication . . . I don’t know if it was breathing or what . . .
Note: “I don’t know if it was breathing or what.”
McNabb’s blanket denials on Feb. 9 at the Pro Bowl – “No, I wasn’t sick, and no, I didn’t throw up” – apparently failed to satisfy the doubters.
“No, Freddie did not call a play. I get the plays in my helmet, so he couldn’t call a play,” McNabb said.
Running back Brian Westbrook sided with that story. “ He wasn’t sick. He was coughing a little, but he didn’t seem sick,” Westbrook said.
Other players were also asked. Guard Jermane Mayberry said he “didn’t notice anything out of the ordinary.” Receiver Greg Lewis spoke of “ coughing . . . I thought he’d just lost his breath.” Guard Artis Hicks mentioned “gagging” to the Inquirer, saying of McNabb, “I thought he was going to throw up.” But he also told the Daily News: “It wasn’t nothing serious. . . . We all knew what he was trying to get out, and we went ahead and ran it.” |
