He also put up almost 400 yards and 3 tds...

We lost 25-32... Akers missed a 47yd field goal and an extra point. We were able to get back into FG range but need a TD... HOWEVER, if Akers hadnt missed the field goal and PAT, we would have been down 29-32... Again, it was #5 taking the brunt of it.

Did Elway and Montana ever cry about the Defense imploding? The qb is always going to get the blame, it's the way it goes, ask Jim Kelly.

Met Bernie Parent yesterday. Got an autograph, had a convo about how I wish I could have seen him play, and we both agreed the fans get shafted if there's another lockout! Took a picture too. One of the most charismatic people I've ever met.

What a treat.

McNabb was a very good QB, but when he lost his running ability it really hurt him. When the defense had to use a spy to help prevent him from running the field was more wide open. He is disliked in Philly because he always had an excuse and constantly threw his teammates under the bus.

Vick stinks. He had a great 10 game run the first year he started. Been poor ever since.

Saunders is okay, his Goal call sounds something out of a Thriller Video
Bundy is pretty good, IMO...enjoy his Truthism's about how the team is playing

I'm never a fan of an annoucer who is above the game. I see too many annoucers thinking they are stars outside of the game. If it wasn't for the game you wouldn't have a job.

5 guys pretty good but too many calories. I would rather make my own.

No idea WTH is going on with Peanuts these days.

I think we are putting too many chemicals into our food and it's the adverse reactions to it. Our bodies can only handle so much.

Making BBQ slow cooked spare ribs this weekend, so it will be interesting in how they turn out.

In regards to insensitive comments, i think we have gotten to be overly sensitive to what is said these days. Most of the time, get over it and move on...

Only difference is Bryzgalov won a Cup as a backup for another franchise.

Very true that he was underappreciated and sometime blamed unfairly. But that comes with the territory of , one being the QB, and two, having the 100M contract. Part of the deal. One thing that McNabb never understood or could deal with.

One example of Tom Brady in a post game interview. He threw a deep ball that was slightly underthrown, but still hit the receiver right in the hands. The ball was dropped. It would have been the game winning TD. Brady was asked about the receiver droping the ball in the presser. Brady's response was it was a bad throw by him and the receiver had to hold up throwing off the timing, to paraphrase. And took the bullet for his teammate. That is one aspect of being the QB and a leader that Mc Nabb never grasped.

He blamed the D for the loss to Cardinals. He blamed the D for loss to Rams. ".. we showed our youth...". There's many more quotes out there.

These peanut allergies are in abundance. I remember as a kid being able to bring a PB&J sandwich to school, nowadays kids can't bring any peanut related products to school.
- PLindbergh31

Now they tell pregnant women not to eat peanuts, thinking it may help prevent peanut allergy in the child. And no peanuts for kids until their immune system is mature.

Good question, I had peanut butter for lunch everyday in grade school. How these allergies are so ubiquitous is beyond me, but apparently a lot of them are very severe.
- BulliesPhan87

Peanuts weren't widely used as food for humans until the 1930s. It makes sense it would take a few generations for the histamines to power up.

Danny, sorry to hear about the passing. Best wishes to you and your family. the Eagles will be fine. A Superbowl, most likely not. But I think they make the playoffs by winning the division. I have never had any Five Guys food. Hartnell staying is pretty sweet. Bryz is the man. Time is yours.

about peanut oil and the idea it isn't a healthy fat:

from Wikipedia (sources of studies available there):
"A 1974 study suggested that peanut oil caused clogging of the arteries. Robert Wissler of the University of Chicago reported that diets high in peanut oil, when combined with cholesterol intake, clogged the arteries of Rhesus monkeys more than butterfat. However, subsequent work has cast serious doubt on those findings. In the Rhesus study, monkeys were being fed 20 times higher than normal dietary quantities of cholesterol in addition to peanut oil. When a similar study was performed without abnormal doses of cholesterol, no such effect was seen. In fact, peanut oil has been found to lower LDL (bad) cholesterol without reducing beneficial HDL cholesterol."

Heavily off topic, do you gents and/or ladies have any opinions on a new laptop? I keep looking between Asus and the new Toshiba(even though i don't fully trust it). Maybe a Samsung, love their tvs. I think HP is crap, but if anyone knows anything, I would love some input. I tried to talk to my wife, but her response was, "Really, you're going to ask me? Ok...Get the good one that doesn't cost a lot." Thanks dear.

They seem to have a lot of good epuipment in them, I'm just little worried about the make of them. Customer service isn't an issue nied I fix my own computers. just want something with about 8 gigs and 750 gigs Hdd or SSd if possible. Nice screen, 17 inches perfered but not neede. At least a intel 5! but once again perfered 7!.
