Your're probably right. I just think Wellwood doesn't have a great fit on this team yet. Sestito fills more the goon role, Wellwood more a checker.

Maybe Wellwood goes 50 games, Sestito 30ish, barring injuries and shortened season.

Assuming no changes to the lineup, this may be the first year where there really isn't much to debate about. They've already committed to Jake on 1st line, which kinda locks everything else in.

Only possible battle seems to be 3rd line - Rusty vs. Wellwood vs. Talbot.

I think Wellwood might beat out Rusty on 3rd line...he looked good there in playoffs.

I still would like more a scoring winger on 3rd line though. Maybe Talbot??

He has three full time coaches this season. A head coach, an offensive coach and a D coach. It's a big change from the ragged mess we escaped.

He had his first preseason game last week. They don't know him, only from practice, so he played part time on the third line with a five man rotation. He had 3 goals and 2 assists. You'd have been proud. I think they know him now.
