His feet were off the ice, puck was already gone, took more than 2 strides to hit him. It could have been either charging or interference, a minor penalty, but definitely a penalty none the less. - DariusKnight
Nope none of that.

Sedin has puck @ 17:18
still 17:18 Brown is coasting towards Sedin, Sedin passes puck
@ 17:17 Brown delivers the check, feet are still on the ground. Shoulders together, low elbows.
Clean hit. |

I heard it too, quite a while ago, but I haven't heard it confirmed from a legitimate source, so I'm curious if there is one. |

It was as late as Rome's hit on Horton. A Kings fan posted a gif of both the other night trying to disprove it, and it was a very similar amount of time that passed before each hit was delivered.
Both should have been minors.

The difference of time on those hits not withstanding, the hit on Horton bears little resemblance to that hit on Sedin.
Brown's hit was more Solid Hockey Hit and less Predatory Hit. |

Brown is a super hero, delivering a hit before he is even coasting toward the opposing player. |

Both were hockey hits, lets call a spade a spade here. The difference was Horton smashed his mellon on the ice and had to be carried off on a stretcher, hence the 4 game suspension. No injury, no suspension. I don't think it deserved a major penalty either, but whatever, referee's discretion. |

I do agree the suspension was BS, 2 for charging should have been the call IMO.
No call on Brown I believe was the right call, again just my opinion and will always be debated. |

If those Evander Kane requests a trade rumors are true, time to throw out a package Gillis. Someone like an Edler would have to be included I'd imagine. |

I have no problem with either call/non-call on the ice. The officials have to make a decision pretty quick, without the benefit of a replay. Being an official is a tough job, and I can respect the calls that were made. Its the after effect, the if he got hurt there is a suspension bs that bugs me. Torres hit on Eberle two years ago, targeting the head, two games, did Torres learn anything? Because Eberle wasn't injured the suspension was minor, but Hossa gets taken off on a stretcher and Torres gets 25 games. |

We need Benn (playmaker) more than Kane but let's be honest, what team wouldn't benefit from his addition.
He's from Vancouver and has apparently always been a Canuck fan. That can mean didley squat of course but worth noting. |

Too much. If this summer has taught us anything it's that a player who's requested a trade won't yield his equal value in return. Edler, Jensen, and Kassian combined are worth more than Kane. Something like Edler, Raymond, 1st or variation of that might do it if he's requesting to be traded to VAN specifically.

The toughness with skill is what I think you guy's need. Hopefully Kassian can fill that need in a year or two, but sooner is always better than later. As for kane being from Vancouver, I don't think that plays much into anything, see Justin Schultz.
Also I don't really buy into the Kane rumor anyway. |

With playoff refs swallowing their whistles toughness is always a desired aspect to a player but contrary to a lot of outside opinion when Vancouver has faltered, I don't think it's because we didn't hit enough but because we didn't score enough. Boston and then LA (our last 2 series) illustrate that point.
Beyond the Sedin line we struggle for scoring. Booth-Kesler-Raymond equals 3 guys who barely acknowledge each other on the ice and always shoot first. We badly need a creator on that 2nd line to distribute, Kane isn't it. Still, Kane in place of Raymond...no question there's a hefty upgrade there. |

Hockey clocks...count down from 20:00 - OilHorse
Not all "hockey" cocks count down from 20:00, some clocks count up from 0:00. To be correct you should have said all NHL clocks count down from 20:00, shows how much you know about hockey I guess... |
