that means squat. A personal trainer isn't even a physical therapist, the author is a hack period. - JoeRussomanno

Even if he's a personal trainer the information listed in that article is well beyond the scope of what a personal trainer does. Therefore links and acrediting the original source is warranted. Since it is not that is a red-flag which in turn tells me a quick copy and paste job was done. |
|
|
|
Joe - didn't you ask the guy to post the link? Now that he did so, it is my opinion that you are attacking him.
You have made your point that you don't find the source credible - however, maybe we can now move forward in a positive light. The type of positivity that is the very foundation of this board. The type of positivity that brings us all together as hockey brethren.

Skepticism is one thing, to to flat out jump to 'hack' claims seems a bit much to me. If only that Delco scum Jak were here, this would be up his alley. |

You do realize that's Gunnar's site right? Gunnar didn't write the article himself (or at least is not credited), but I'm betting he knows the author and considers him something other than a hack. |

I guess the term scum was a joke. Of course it is.
I have found everyone here to be of the highest character. Jak included.
I'm also assuming you're not refering to JackMeough, but rather Jak521. In either case - hopefully they can add some good input soon.
Cheers! |

he posted the link on an open forum. If he didn't want to hear criticism he shouldn't have mentioned it. I'll assign praise and criticism as I feel fit. Can't take the heat stay out of the kitchen. Now stop trying to start drama and enjoy my semi-annual response to one of your posts. |

I don't care if walter cronkite wrote it. A hack job's a hack job. I gave my opinion. If he doesn't want opinions don't self promote. |

Maybe you can do me a favor and make the next response slightly before six months (around Christmas time). I can't wait!

Criticism is always welcome.
But I can tell you that your opinion of the athletic medical field is lacking some levels of understanding.
I'm a PE teacher in NYS and even I am responsible for knowing all of that kind of information.
The process in getting a degree for a PE teacher, personal trainer, physical therapist, and athletic trainer is a hell of a lot more similar than you presently believe.
I'm 12 credits short of being pre-med, to teach gym. |

ok whatever. great that you have such high standards i guess.
but for the record, i don't think you asking him to post the link qualifies as self-promoting.
aaaaaaaaand that's about all the energy I'm willing to expend to stick up for a Pens fan.....moving on.

Some people come on here and throw around accusations just to get attention. So be it. If someone is out of line, the mods will take care of it.
They do a great job, and I'll leave it at that. I just wish we could get back to talking more hockey. |

I speak of Jak521, who works in the sports medical field as I recall. He's a fine and upstanding poster, a credit the our thread and geographic region. |

Sounds like Jac and you have a lot in common. At least in regards to fine, upstanding posters, as well as being an asset to the region.
Good day sir.

You and I both, but there won't be much to discuss until... well, indefinitely |

Change of subject. I am borrowing from the Pens thread.
Can you list the forwards from most tough to least tough. Tough doesn't mean fighting. It could be sticking up for your teamate with a big check. It could mean taking a stick to the face and keep playing. It could mean playing through injuries.
Each person can decide their own criteria. But who is your toughest?
For now, I'll start my list with Simmonds. |

Let me put it to you this way, it's normal to hook up links to your articles when posting data of that nature. I seriously doubt all that info came off the top of his head.
edit: furthermore there's a picture taken right out of a textbook. I guess he's the author of that book too right?

Simmonds, Schenn, Rinaldo, Schenn, Harts, Grossmann,
Leaving off pure goons. |
