Criticism is always welcome.
But I can tell you that your opinion of the athletic medical field is lacking some levels of understanding.
I'm a PE teacher in NYS and even I am responsible for knowing all of that kind of information.
The process in getting a degree for a PE teacher, personal trainer, physical therapist, and athletic trainer is a hell of a lot more similar than you presently believe.
I'm 12 credits short of being pre-med, to teach gym. - Gunner Staal
Under the guidelines implemented I believe 5 or 6 years ago a PE degree isn't really that similar to that of a physical therapist. Physical therapists are now Drs. Do you even need a masters to teach PE? |

Even if he's a personal trainer the information listed in that article is well beyond the scope of what a personal trainer does. Therefore links and acrediting the original source is warranted. Since it is not that is a red-flag which in turn tells me a quick copy and paste job was done. - JoeRussomanno
I don't understand. Are you saying the information is incorrect? Or that the person writing the article doesn't have the qualifications to state the correct information posting on the World wide web? Because the information jives with all of the research I've done the injury, including talking to family members who are nurses and people I've talked to who have been through the injury. |

so journalists and people posing as journalists should just copy and paste then pass it off as their own work? |

No. He's saying that while the information may be correct the writer plagiarized much of the information without giving credit to the original source material. Hence, he feels the writer is taking credit for an article that he wasn't able to write himself and viola... hack.
Not that I know anything about it other than interpretation which I think I have an honorary degree in from dealing with salesmen all day. |

I thought he was a PE teacher and his buddy was a personal trainer? If you are refuting the claim that he wrote it, do you have credible sources? As an artist I can tell you when someone rips off a professional's work, there is quite a uproar and the pros can tell you almost exactly where the hack copied it from. I do understand the seriousness of the claim but if you don't have evidence, then you don't understand the seriousness of the accusation. People who do that can get away with single instances, but they can't maintain that level of deception long term. They either A, quit or B, get caught. If you have evidence please bring it. But if not you just sound contrary. |

if you don't understand the importance of crediting sources then I don't know what to tell you. Great so he's a PE teacher and his buddy's a personal trainer, so what? It doesn't make them experts on surgical procedures and physical therapy, otherwise they'd have MD attached to their names. We can go around and around on this all day but even in college level textbooks like the one that is most likely "borrowed" from experts who write these books, still quote sources. |

It was good basic information about the Medical facts of the type of injury that Meszaros has. So if your interested in that, then it's great. You can get that basic info in a simple google search. But Meszaros' name was inserted in there as if it was information specifically about his exact condition, prognosis, and treatment. Obviously the author doesn't have that info. |

I'm getting behind the times. A masters for a teacher always meant higher pay, but as time marches on it's probably required much more now. I just found out during knee rehab that PTs need to take an additinal 7 coursed to become a DR. Something about needing many more years of education than a chiropracter and a chirpracter becoming a DR so they added the courses. |

It's a giant racket IMO. You can't teach in New York without a Masters. You have 5 years to obtain one from the time you get your first job, or something like that, I did mine right away.
Masters is the new Bachelors. Just another way for the college system to suck you dry. |

Education has become big business. They keep saying they need to raise taxes, tuition and the education gets worse. |

That's what I don't understand about this thread. The information is not any more technical than you'd find anywhere else on the subject matter. If it was some new crazy insight or theory, or even containing new information on Mez's particular injury that hasn't been reported yet I'd want to know where it came from. But as long as it's consistant, accurate and written clearly and with in the author's own words. Who cares? Right now I haven't seen evidence of anything that violates that. I just take for what it is. Another internet article on the subject of Achillis injuries, referencing a specific Hockey player, but with little info on that player's particular injury. |

Not one of Clarke's better trades, in a string of not very good trades and signings. Thank God for Homer. He seems to have a much better grasp on how to use assets to improve the team. He may not bat a 1000, Homer hasn't killed the team yet with a trade like Clarke seemed to do as a matter of course. The Leclair, Desjardins, Dionne for Recchi trade being a rare exception. (and a damn good one) - MBFlyerfan
Let's not forget Clarke's ability to acquire & stockpile picks. Critiques of him are too often short-sighted. |

Some do, some don't. But most times with how the job market is you don't get hired until after you have one because the market is so saturated.
Some pay for the classes straight up if you are lucky and some districts give small permanent raises based on the amount of grad credits you have.

I can relate directly to your statement. On Hockeybuzz, I have many great accomplishments. However, there are always critics. With the internet, it is easy to re-write history.
