"Oh no, the PA is really pissed now"
"Haha, this is ridiculous"
"Come Bettman you midget, you are killing our game"
Fun fun fun. |

it's harder to whine about a minority government than a majority government. that's a big issue for Quebeckers. - DoubleDown
A majority for the PQ is the beginning of the end. |

SO true
It would be pointless to have a minor government though, because the results would be the same on the next elections. Legault won't win any votes by making the people vote again in 2 years, and I can't see anyone with the Liberals who could become a candidate as Premier Ministre, they kicked their best odd (Couillard, not the huge boobed girl Bingo no.) when he got too strong. |

Did they all threaten to toughen up the language laws?
Did Moody's say they would downgrade Quebec after their victories?
Did those parties hand over the reins of referendums to the hard liners? |

Not sure I'd want an even more absolute two-party system and an official corruption procedure (lobbies). I'd take example on France, at least for the representative democracy and the two-round system.

with internal staff? sometimes, yes. - DoubleDown
With clients, I would expect that to be the case. But with staff, I was really hoping for a more "damn the man" approach from you. |

What about the swiss system? You vote for every minister, no party. Always have the best candidate. |

I meant in the sense that Obama is stuck with a House of Representatives that is a republican majority, which makes things way more difficult for him.
Doesn't prevent Americans to whine about him. |

Well it shows you how much he believes in it.
For instance Dr Hébert said that if he doesn't give a doctor to every Québecker after 4 years, he will resign.
Barrette says he can do it in a year, but won't put his job on the line for it.
It doesn't hint you anything? - QuebecPride

Yes, yes (some corporate headquarters threatened to leave Quebec. It didn't happen) and no, because at the time the hard liners thought a referendum wouldn't be necessary to separate from Canada, that the election of a PQ government would be enough. So the hard liners from today are the moderates from yesterday. |

I'm all for the check and balance so a government cannot do anything he wants without asking questions (Harper), but not sure I want a president who can't do anything. |

you're right. no majority government has ever pushed anything on their own prior to the Harper government. |
