Its too bad the Phantoms are no longer in Philly or even in Allentown yet. I really enjoyed watching many of the games during the last lockout and went to all of the playoff games. - nastyflyergirl
I went to a few games and to the playoffs that year, too. And it was fun. But I can't watch it on tv. Maybe a bit of NCAA, though.
Bill - not to pretend you are Dear Abby, but are you married? If no, please disregard.
If yes, can you give me advice on how you are able to watch all those games? Do you make breakfast in bed for her? Flowers?
Any advice from you or any other of our great posters would appreciated.
(Full disclosure - just having a little fun with this one) - Daman
Yes, I'm married. When I doubt, I can pull the "But I NEED it for my work" card when I'm overdosing on watching games at home . On a more serious note, I try to set aside a little time each day -- and more time on the weekends -- where I put the computer and phone away and spend time together.
You don't think the wrestler Kane actually sets people on fire outside of work, or that Anthony Hopkins cuts people's head open and eats their brains in real life? - Daman
I don't like to judge people bc no one is perfect. I've learned people to do some crazy things behind closed doors. You Da Man.
He poses an interesting point. If the NHLPA considers concessions HRR why shouldn't the NHL consider player endorsements HRR and ask them to contribute 43% to the league?

Very Smart man..... I spend 15 min every day just talking to my wife. No kids, No Hockey, No work, No Cell/Computer.... During Flyers games I mute the TV during the intermissions and look at her and talk. My Father and Grandfather said it would be a good idea to do that during sports and the wife will be more then willing to watch with you. Seems to work
Marriage to me is like a Bank account. If you want to "withdrawl" some free time to watch sports, or go out with the guy's or whatever. You have to make some deposits, or the account will be empty. Deposits are doing family things, honeydo's, doing things she wants to do, etc. Then you have some credit to work with. And it takes a lot of deposits to make 1 withdrawl.

I get your point and agree, but what is a honeydo?
If it is when your wife say "honey, do this", or "honey, do that" - then we do a lot of honeydo's too.
