Arguably 2nd in the Bruins depth chart for goaltenders, Khudobin was drafted by Minnesota in the 7th round (206th overall) in 2004. He has only played one NHL games so far in his career, but will be challenging for a spot on the roster this year. If Thomas does take a year off as expected, he will likely be the Bruins choice to backup Rask.

A couple of things, Thomas is in fact taking the year off and it's been known for some time now. Khudobin has actually played 7 games in the NHL.

I thought there was still a chance he would come back....but I did state hes not expected to play.

Khudobin
SEASON GP MIN W L OTL GA SO GAA SA Sv% G A PIM

Those are his numbers with the Bruins, not total in the NHL

Edit: I found the mistake I made...meant to say 1 NHL game with the Bruins. Thanks.

Colin - love these so far. Maybe you could split the polls into 2 parts, ie pick one old school and one newer school mask. In this one, I would vote Cheevers and Rask. Keep it going, I love seeing the collection of masks old to current.

Jim Pettie's mask is pretty scary looking. How'd u like to sleeping in a cabin up north & someone wearing this mask knocks on your door at 4am? Would be the sequel to The Strangers. Probably the creepiest movie ever made. Not the scariest movie by any stretch but a creepier movie I cannot recall.

Something about Finns and their love for Skulls and fire on their goalie masks...goes with the Finnish death metal I guess...

Hint Colin: Do a blog about the best Finish goalie skull-themed masks....Kipprusoff, Toskala, Toivonen, Ramo, Rinne...crazy (frank)ers.
