the players demanded so much money, and who gave it out hand over fist? the owners are tripping over themselves to hand out the coin, even ones who 2 month previous spoke out about the system and needing change.

but it's all the players fault. shake your head right back.

Standing in (frank)ing line like morons to talk to Parise and Sutter at their agents headquarters, and salivating at the bit to give them both 100 million dollar deals... Then crying foul and broke with the hand which they just wiped their asses with 200 million dollars. (frank) em really... Cry me a river...

and then they complain about not being able to afford it. Do not feel sorry for them in the least. You can't afford, dont pay. Basic accounting principles.

Are you familiar with the Wild's owner?

They are are only allowed 57% (owners built the system), do not feel sorry for the owners. It's all their own doing.

should a hockey ticket cost 200 dollars?
should the Leafs have to subsidize other teams so they can sign players that won't come here?
it's all related to salaries

The Isles and Yotes don't have a dime to their name but pay their players the same rate to stay competitive. You guys seem to be after two diametrically opposed things, more unions and more capitalism. Pick. Or flip flop and blame Bettman more.

With a career that on average is 6 years, maybe even less, then yeah Einstein, they should be... Either the billionaires will pay or they wont, problem is bobbi, most like yourself try and fit it into their own life experience and profession, and it doesn't translate and never will, once you get passed that silly little notion, then what we are talking about is an elite (frank)ing athlete, the best in the world at what they do.... and no one else is capable of doing what they do, or else they would already be doing it and demanding a huge salary for doing so as well. Not some scrub, kicking a poop job cause he aint got poop else to do to pay the bills... It doesn't translate into regular job mentality and never will....

the player bent over 8 years ago to fix the system. the owners built this new system, but no longer like it and want to bend the players over again to fix the system.

we lost a year of hockey 8 years ago because the owners wanted to create a fool proof system where every owner will make gobs of money. it didn't work, and now we are facing another lockout so that the owners can fix their system at the expense of the owners.

So no it isn't.

Fact: Salaries had no cap or floor 8 years ago.

Sakic got 28 mil a year

A scrub got 60k

Fact: Salaries now have a cap and floor.

Ovechkin gets 11mil

A scrub gets 800k

(frank) those poor players!
