Ding ding ding winner!!!! Exactly most of the players expense if not all when on the road are covered food, hotel, transportation, etc. plus getting paid large amounts of money. Plus a lot of things are given at there home games as well. They seem to take a lot of this for granted not a lot of jobs would do this. Salaries are obscene now they should just be happy with that.

Problem is, it's not the owners or players who lose money on this insane venture. It's the fans from Toronto, Montreal, Vancouver, Rangers, Flyers, Boston, Chicago, Detroit and Calgary, that lose money. These top revenue teams already pay huge amounts of cash, to keep the bottom 10 teams afloat. I for one, as a Leafs fan, refuse to pay any more money, so these money losing teams can stay afloat. I'm all for giving a team a couple of years help, to get them to become a stable franchise. What I'm not prepared to do, is pay for a long term bailout of the same teams, year in and year out, so they can give away their tickets for the price of a couple of ACC beers, while we pay hundreds of dollars for a similar seat in our buildings.

Agreed. Didn't even buy my 2012/2013 Hockey News Annual Magazine that covers all angles of the upcoming season. Every August when it comes out, I read that mag more times than a priest goes through a bible. It's actually become my annual hockey bible. So I figured why waste my money this year, who knows if there will be hockey. What, go over every team's roster for this season & than there is no season? F DAT. Yes this imminent lockout is very depressing.
