Bill,
Do Schenn and couturier receive their NHL contracts ($) or are they on two ways?
Just wondering... |

I just hope that timonen would use this time off to recover from the grind if last year was the last on his contract i wouldnt have been surprised to see him consider retirement, my biggest fear is trying to replace him in a year when we are still trying to fill prongers void |

Pronger will not skate in Voorhees when he arrives, Homer said, adding the Dman will go through some physical tests. #Flyers |

Couturier would get $70,000 salary in the AHL plus $92,500 installment of his singing bonus (which he'll get whether he plays or not).
Schenn would get a $67,500 salary in the AHL plus his guaranteed $90,000 signing bonus installment.

Physical tests for what? Not sure I follow?
Is this the facade that must be created so he is attempting a comeback and avoid retirement status? |

That would be my guess. I don't think he has to do that tho...
Have any more details about this Cousins thing come out yet? Is he looking at jail time? He turned himself in so chances are slightly more likely he'll be pleading guilty. |

Just because someone turned themselves in, doesn't mean anything towards how they will plea. All that shows is that they are cooperating with authorities. |

Yeah, I don't get that statement one bit. All turning himself shows is that he is cooperating.

I believe it's a myth that players must feign recovery efforts to remain on LTIR (as opposed to retirement). |

True, a player does not have to attempt a comeback. But the team has to supply documented Medical reasons to to the League to apply for LTIR status. Which could mean a Medical examination for Pronger.

I was hoping for a better idea of what happened this night myself. I know the young players were at a party but I am not aware of any details. Can anyone inbox me if it can't be told on the board? |

I asked the question the other day if the lockout benefits Pronger. If the player is fit to play, I would rule nothing out. I also feel it is unlikely Pronger ever plays again but even a guy like simon Gagne should consider retiring, especially now. |

I thought so. Pronger seems like the perfect example of a player who should be on the LTIR (or LITR, as Eklund calls it). |

There's no reliable information on it, short of what Bill has pt in his blogs. Best not to rely on innuendo and gossip. |

Highly unlikely that he is fit to play, or ever will be. So I would say the lockout is most likely of no benefit to Pronger.

Everyone is saying highly unlikely. I'm saying highly unlikely but nobody is saying no, impossible or never. |
