I'm really happy how the NHL and NHLPA tried their hardest to prevent a lockout. Not meeting on deadline day was genius. Waiting until the seaon ended to begin negotiations, excellent move. Calling for a lockout while the option to still play was available, smart. Owners wanting to re-do a deal they wanted a got 7 years ago, perfect! Players not wanting to give up a bit of a growing amount of revenue, very well done.

I mean I myself watch a whole lot of junior and foreign hockey, but it's not the same.
