Logically, the interest rates will increase as they are very low right now. You're going to have to lookout for it, but it's certain there will be a few pretty good deals to be done in the next few years from people that can't pay with the increased rates.

I know that personally that's what I'll look into.

yea really good for almost retired people with kids moving out so they can buy a smaller house and invest the rest for retirement in RRSP's, Stocks (Apple not RIM) and buy a mother(frank)ing speedboat for fun..

interest rates will stay very low for another 2 years most likely due to the US economy, most people are buying on variable rates...housing market is still good and will remain good until the interest rates are low.

One of my friends was arguing with me the other day that you can buy a house, wait for it to gain value, sell it and make money when you change house. I tried to explain to him you don't make money if you buy a house 100K, sell it 200K and move in a 200K house because the 200K house is "in theory" the same quality as your old one...when he realized he was wrong he kept arguing even more...lol
