I haven't worked in a union before. Likely wont ever in my life. Can anyone explain the process of a usual CBA negotiation? Is it the employer that structures it, then they negotiate off of it? Or is it as we see in the NHL and the NHLPA tries to rewrite the book by determining what is best for the company as a whole?
I would think that the employees would simply say "Yes to this", No to that, not this much here, but well do this much there".
