my thought is that either they settle by Halloween-ish or the season is lost. all along i've been assuming that it will be a short lockout because i figured at some point, the 2 sides would formally recognize the importance of capitalizing on the momentum they've created in the past 8 years. i have to assume everything to now and in the next week or two is nothing more than posturing. just too much to lose in going dark for 12 months. not to mention, i imagine there are some powerful owners (namely MLSE and Molson family) who cannot be on board with this.
