I've played against people and had fierce rivarlies and even fought on the ice but later found them teammates and developed friendships. I am the same as a fan. When you were my jersey or my fave team jersey, you are with me. when you wear the oppostion jersey you are foe. I hate Crosby (and respect) on the ice but I don't hate Crosby the man. I will only have a dislike for players who I think are bad people.

I definitely wouldn't accept 4 Philly 1sts for him, and I wouldn't even listen unless Couturier + Coburn/Schenn + 1st was the first offer. Subban is overrated by Habs fans but severely underrated by the rest of the leagues fans. You don't trade guys like that for scraps.Wouldn't do it unless Couturier + solid dman + pick was coming back, might even ask for Schenn instead of a pick.

I still wouldn't mind another winger for Giroux. I think that is less likely though with the LT contracts signed by Simmonds and Voracek.

I think Harts is a good player but certainly not an elite power forward by any stretch.

After the Weber deal fell apart, we all know that unless an aging veteran is on a declining team (e.g. Pronger), we are going to have real trouble dealing for a great D-man for picks. And I don't think we are willing to give up young players.

I wasn't a big Carcillo fan. Downie I liked but was reckless and hard to root for after a while.

Please, God... tell me it's just talk... tell me it's just a rumor, and nothing more.

If anything, they need a defensman... not another forward (Subban is a "defeseman" who is never in defensive position, who is constantly going on a rush leaving his forward behind, shoots the puck even if 4 guys are standing 2 ft in front of him blocking the net... and most of all, you don't need that attitude on the team.)

There are three guys I wish to never, ever see in orange and black. Crosby, Avery, and Subban...

I completely agree.. While I wouldn't give up Schenn or Couts for him, I would move other players. PK is a special player. Hopefully he can continue to mature.. and if so, watch out.. you got yourself a perennial all-star.

the only Flyer I can ever recall hating in a Flyers jersey was Tibbetts and that is an easy one to explain. I never like Joe Patterson but that had to do with the guy acting like a douche and blowing past a group of kids asking for autographs while more known players stopped.

I have no doubt in my mind that if Sidney Crosby were ever to become a Flyer-- a highly unlikely prospect in the foreseeable future, mind you -- many of the same folks who call him "Cindy" and vociferously censure his tendencies to embellish and to whine about unfavorable calls on the ice would change their tunes in a hurry if his all-world skills were employed here. It's simply the truth.

A few Flyers fans would continue to dislike Crosby for some of his on-ice antics, but the majority would instantly embrace him and most of the others would come around by the time he played a few games in orange and black. There would be hundreds of #87 Flyers jerseys at every home game and his photo booth tickets at the Flyers Wives Carnival would be the first to sell out.
