Didn't everyone know that in June? I never had any hope and as soon as the NHL made it's proposal I thought there was a high chance there would be no hockey this season and started prepping myself. |

Jagr was good for the Flyers early on but as the season went on he began to fade away. He just looked very slow and old by the end of the playoffs (not sure if he had an injury). The Flyers had to let him go for the price the Stars were willing to pay. Time for Voracek to step up and be a beast on that frontline (whenever hockey starts again). - stveshdy
Jagr was average all season long. Was anyone really expecting him to be what he was in the 90's? I didn't. I just know he was a good influence on the young players on this team and an inspiration, which is why I would have brought him back. The flyers made the right call by not bringing him back due to price and that's it. Jagr did have some impact on the ice...some.
I have watched players struggle due to partying too much, divorce and dislike towards their coach but now I am being told that these young players couldn't have had career years by playing inspired hockey along side a legendary hockey player? How can so many by into negatives and not positives? This is interesting to me. |

Of course we would accept Crosby if he signed here. Here's how I look at that. We love hockey and hockey players. Especially good and great ones. But we also love Fashion. And it angers us to no end when 50% of the players that show up for a hockey game wearing the wrong colors. I mean Black & GOLD? What's that about? And it angers us even more when a great talented player can be so good and yet be so unskilled in fashion. It's like a bad paint job on a Ferrari... tragic.
So in Closing, we aren't upset with the opposing team because they are horrible players or people. It's because they dress like crap. And when guys like Jagr & Talbot come to their senses and wear appropriate Hockey colors, we are so happy they have finally come to their senses. Looking Sharp guys! - flyler

not me. I am still sad. And look how pathetic this place is. It is after 3pm and we are only on page 4. Normally, on a regular day, this board would be at like 500 posts.
But Hope springs etneral. I pray thoes yahoos hammer out a deal. |

Just a formality so both players can play in the AHL. Really has zero to do with how good either player is.

I see Bettman as somebody who refuses to do anything that is not his way so if he's willing to bend to do what's best for both maybe it changes. But seeing as somebody who didn't care about losing a season to get the last CBA forgive me if I don't have as much hope as you. |

Both sides are posturing, but Bettman makes an counter proposal and says if you don't accept it by Saturday it's off the table. If that's presented to me, I tell him to shove up his you know what. That to me is not proper negotiating and isn't what is good for the sport.

He said today it was never a "take it or leave it" with the NHL's latest offer. I still have hope something gets done but I wouldn't at all be shocked if it doesn't.
And just in case it doesn't I am going to follow the OHL. |

How's it going, y'all. Can someone educate me about what players make if they are locked out? Are existing contracts honored? Or only the guaranteed bonuses? |

They get nothing but bonuses unless they're injure. Injured players can't be locked out. ie: Pronger will get paid. |

I just found out my favourite jersey was a Bauer Yaroslav jersey that was rejected and never used on the ice. So chances of replacing it are practically nil. |

I just received recently the Couturier Flyers jersey I won from Ice Jerseys so I'm not in a hurry but always looking. |
