I'll boycott the NHL until the end of the lockout.
Is that OK? |

We don't want to see come December. We need to see over the next two weeks, if there's any hope of even starting by December. - EricEngels
If the players bend, something may happen.
I don't see them bending with Mr. Fehr at the wheel.
We'll see, come December, IMO. |

We may not directly be able to help in the negotiation process, but the collective opinion influences position. Do you think the NHL would rearrange their original proposal so quickly if we had zero influence? |

agree. but the issue with the NHL is that the gap between the haves and have nots is just too big. and as long as that's the case, there will always be labour issues like this. and i don't see that changing because neither Bettman nor the players will ever acknowledge that 2-4 teams need to be eliminated/moved. - DoubleDown
There are 3 teams that are far and above the rest and they are setting the pass of the cap, meanwhile the majority of the teams are growing at a steady growth rate, but because of those 3 teams the league revenue is grower faster then the rest of the league.
The players can keep their 57% if they let the Owners link the HRR growth rate to the majoirty of the league. |

You think the NHL is afraid of public opinion?
They proved they don't care by locking out the players for a full season not long ago. And won't hesitate to do the same again. |

no, you have it all wrong...
Let's say I score 20 goals, and I think I'm entitled to $6M...I can demand it...but I'll only get it if someone "agrees" with that assessment and gives it to me...if not I'm an unsigned FA...
it's that simple...

Pretty sure that for some owners, the lockout is a blessing. Some of them probably save a lot of money by locking out the players. |

I never said they were afraid, and never argued anything contrary to that. but i wouldn't say we have zero influence. |
