I just downloaded the apps for the leagues/teams I am following this season:

OHL: Peterborough Petes
QMJHL: Saint John Sea Dogs
WHL: Everett Silvertips (league app only)

I'll talk to Wifeskippy about buying the CHL webcast this year. $290 is pricey, unless you've no social life and like sitting at home from September - April watching hockey.

After buying Flyers jersey's and having the players get traded, I only buy obscure jersey's now. Overseas jerseys are the coolest IMO.

I picked up an Omsk Jagr from prorussianjerseys.com last year right before the STHs player event.

Chris Pronger (concussion) has shown some improvement recently, according to Flyers GM Paul Holmgren. Holmgren added that Pronger's still not at the point "where he can think about playing." It's even too soon to tell if Pronger will be able to try skating in the near future. Still, any report of progress is great under the circumstances. He hasn't played since November because of post-concussion syndrome and it's not clear if he'll be able to play in 2012-13.

I like how they say its not clear whether he will play or not. I think it's pretty obvious at this point given his age and slow recovery, if you can even call it that at this point. Still glad to hear he's making an improvement. Would love to see him stay with the organization in some compacity.

I'd want him to be symptom free for at least 4-6 months before even trying to play.

That said, I hope he regains his health to the point where he's not dealing with issues years later, like Primeau is. Just have a happy, healthy life. Hockey should be on the back burner,

I balked at the OHL $290 price, the Q is $200 and the WHL is $299

I downloaded each leagues apps during last season.

But in each I'll root for

OHL - Ottawa 67's
QMJHL - Gatineau Olympiques
WHL - Portland Winterhawks

I am extremely proud to announce that I have been selected as a member of Team USA to compete in the Ice Hockey Masters Division of the Maccabiah Games next summer in Israel. My love for the game started in 1980 with our own Olympic team at Lake Placid and it will be the thrill of a lifetime to pull a Stars and Stripes jersey over my head even if it's at the ripe age of 40. This will be my first trip to Israel, and am looking forward to having an amazing experience with my family. I'm very blessed and beyond excited.

The training starts now.
