I sometimes eat onions like that too, but mostly when my gf is complaining about cutting onions. I'll just walk over and take a huge bite.

what is it that you don't like? the taste? the texture? the scent?

I have a lentil soup recipe that starts off with a browned onion but then goes into the blender so no visible/feeleable onion is that a no-go?

scent and texture mostly, so i'd be fine with your blended soup

i actually ate the cheese and onion plate at mcsorley's recently because i felt i was letting my onion hate make me miss out on part of the experience, and strangely i kind of liked it

so i think mostly it's slightly cooked onions that bother me

interesting. yes when I make bolognese I also have to make the onions almost indiscernible or self the wife whines. prior to her I would just cut them very roughly.

I disagree. With red, yellow, white, Vidalia, and green onions to choose from, I think there are too many choices (including none) to unite us all under one onion banner.
