you didn't see the green dressing in the bottom of the jar, and then when the other ingredients were put in the level (of the the dressing) was rising?

Did you notice the tomato sinking to the bottom?

It's like every other salad you're ever eaten. The jar is just for transport, and when you're ready to eat it, your pour it out, into a bowl and int he process the dressing at the bottom gets distributed over the drier ingredients above it (in the jar).
