I don't have a huge affinity for ties, but when the occasion calls for it, whether I "gotta" or not, I put one on. Job interviews, weddings, social functions, etc. I'd rather be over-dressed than under-dressed.

LOL...I don't mind the slang. I don't know why I put quotes around the word.

I have about a dozen ties in my closet. I do not recall the last time I wore one. But I have at least two weddings to attend in 2013, so I suspect I'll have to dust them off.

Had a bat mitzvah last Saturday (seems I have one every frickin week). Put on a shirt that I've had for a year or so, then put on a suit and then grabbed a tie. Went to close the top button of the shirt....not a chance. Took it off, put on a shirt that was a couple years old. Same thing....not a chance. Took me four shirts, and the fourth one was a good five years old. The quitting smoking thing has enlarged my neck.

Ohh, good call. I have one that has mini CH logos all over it. I wonder if my uncle will mind if I bust that out at his wedding in the spring?
