EXACTLY. They can piss on us all they want and I'm sick of it.

Canuck season ticket holder.

They've offered a paltry 3% intererst if they get to keep the money or if you are a monthly payment plan, they will suspend payments. They did NOT offer a refund of any kind which was what my friends and I wanted. The Canucks make money hand over fist in this market. There is a 7 year waiting list for season tickets so they know they can basically do whatever they want.

Treat the fans like crap? Who cares. There's an endless waiting list for people who will be happy to take your tickets from you.

I've been a season ticket holder for 14 years and have never been so pissed at the Canucks. The very least they could do is refund all of our money until the CBA is settled. The only way we can get a refund is if we cancel our tickets altogether.

Must be nice to be the Aquilini's sitting in their condo towers counting their money, season or not.

Here's what we received from Sabres re: Sept. games --

"The National Hockey League has cancelled the 2012 preseason schedule through Sept. 30. The cancellation of the schedule was necessary because of the absence of a Collective Bargaining Agreement between the NHL Players’ Association and the NHL. Because of this, the following Buffalo Sabres games have been cancelled: Wednesday, Sept. 26 against the Bruins and Friday, Sept. 28 against the Maple Leafs.

As a Season Ticket Holder you have the following options in regards to your Pre-Season credits:
1. Apply credits towards tickets to the All-American Prospects Game on September 29th with a savings of $10.00 per ticket. (100 & 200 Level Tickets -$10.00 & 200 Level Ends -$5.00)

2. Apply credits towards tickets to the Rochester Americans vs. Hamilton Bulldogs game on October 23rd at First Niagara Center. (Exclusive pre-sale price of $12.00 per ticket).

3. Keep credits on your Season Ticket account (The Sabres will offer 4% simple interest per annum on the value of the games that are cancelled by the NHL). This will happen if we do not hear from you by Friday, September 28th.

4. Request a refund of all preseason games that were cancelled by the NHL in the month of September.

Click here to let us know how you would like to handle your credits before Friday, September 28th.

(We're going to see the Amerks play -- might be our only hockey fix for awhile)

The Flames are doing the following:

3% if you keep it in account, credits applied to future tickets as they cancel games. Refunds are available monthly if requested.

The best part is that the payments have to keep going if you are on a payment plan to qualify for refunds. Very crazy.

Our group wanted to cancel all and they told us no problem, you are subject to a 10% fee per ticket to cancel. So, they wanted to take off and keep $560 from our paid money to offer the seats to one of the 5000 on the waiting list. How terrible is that?

So terrible in fact that I asked to speak with a Manager who basically told me that it is their way or the highway. When the season is cancelled, I will cancel. Nuff said.

Not sure what you might have up there but here the State Atty General handles consumer complaints. Unless that 10% cancellation fee is in writing somewhere when you bought (and I've never seen it--they just say "no refunds" but then, they don't offer a product, you get a refund, so they don't really mean it) then you may have recourse without hiring your own attorney or anything. Your provincial atty or consumer agency may be willing to get involved.

5% credit for them to hold on to it or 1.25% credit to get it refunded. go sens go !
- KingKarl65

But if they hold it, the owner's feel less financial pressure to end a lockout. If teams started writing checks in the millions to refund cancelled tickets, they won't feel as secure in their stance, especially those team who were not profitable to begin with (most of the league).

I actually would like to see some governments get involved, not so much with the lockout itself, but to make sure this refund process is legal and the owners aren't taking advantage of the fans' money to boost their presence in the bargaining process.

I am thinking about going to the media with it. I think it would put some pressure on them, charging us a fee for no product. I think the credit card purchase even provides me protection as I purchase the tickets with a card and they are giving me nothing back.

Sorry if my comments offend you Mr. Eklund as you seem to be doubling as an apologist for Bettman and the rest of clowns most commonly known as NHL owners and players, but it simply must be said:

FU Gary Bettman
FU Donald Fehr
FU NHL owners
FU NHLPA
YOU ALL SUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Here's what the Panthers offered.

LOYALTY OPTION 1:
Full account balance retained by the Florida Panthers and earn 10% loyalty CREDIT on your account.

By selecting this option, you agree to leave all monies for your 2012-13 season tickets in your account in the event any 2012-13 preseason and regular season games are cancelled and not rescheduled by the NHL. In such an event, you will earn a 10% loyalty credit, for the amount of cancelled and not rescheduled games by the NHL. Loyalty credit can be used towards your 2013 Stanley Cup playoff tickets and/or 2013-14 Panthers ticket purchases, as applicable. In the event the entire 2012-13 season is cancelled, you will be automatically renewed for the 2013-14 season at your 2012-13 season ticket prices.

Your selection of the loyalty option 1 is final and cannot be changed.

Example:
Your account value for two full season seats is $6,270, $71.25per seat. Suppose 5 games are cancelled for the 2012-13 season, the total loyalty credit earned for the 5 games cancelled is $71.25. ($71.25 per seat x 5games= $356.25 x 2 seats= $712.50 x 10% = $71.25 total loyalty credit) Payment for the 5 games cancelled will be applied toward 2013-14 season . Total credit for 2013-14 is $783.75

LOYALTY OPTION 2:
Full account balance retained by the Florida Panthers and receive 5% loyalty PAYMENT back.

By selecting this option, you agree to leave all monies for your 2012-13 season tickets in your account in the event any 2012-13 preseason and regular season games are cancelled and not rescheduled by the NHL. In such an event, you will receive a 5% loyalty payment, for the amount of cancelled and not rescheduled games by the NHL. Loyalty payment will be issued in the form of a check upon the start of the 2012-13 season. In the event the entire 2012-13 season is cancelled , you will be automatically renewed for the 2013-14 season at your 2012-13 season ticket prices.

Your selection of the loyalty option 2 is final and cannot be changed.

Example:
Your account value for two full season seats is $6,270, $71.25per seat. Suppose 5 games are cancelled for the 2012-13 season, the loyalty payment earned is $35.63. ($71 .25 per seat x 5games= $356.25 x 2 seats= $712.50 x 5% = $35.63 total loyalty payment) Payment for the 5 games cancelled will be applied toward 2013-14 season.

OPTION 3:
Receive a refund in the event any 2012-13 home games are cancelled and not rescheduled by the NHL.

By selecting option 3, you will receive a refund of the monies on your account for all home games cancelled and not rescheduled by the NHL. Refunds will be issued upon the NHL announcement of the entire 2012-13 season. Upon selecting option 3, your account is subject to cancellation. In the event the entire 2012-13 season is cancelled, you will be offered the option to renew tickets at the market price at the time of your renewal for the 2013-14 season, however seat location cannot be guaranteed and seat/location cannot be held.

PROTECTION PLAN TERMS & CONDITIONS:

The account must be in current standing in order to participate in the loyalty program. The loyalty payment and/or credit are based on amount on deposit with the club at the time of the cancelled games.

The loyalty credit will be applied towards 2013 Stanley Cup playoff tickets and /or 2013-14 Panthers tickets; it cannot be used at third party outlets in the arena, i.e. food, beverage, retail , parking, etc.

Unpaid fees, NSF or declined credit card payments may prevent your account from being considered in current standing.

Any remaining credits will be applied to future renewal payments or to offset the cost of your 2013 Stanley Cup playoff tickets, if applicable. If you do not elect to purchase seats for,the 2013 Stanley Cup playoffs the credit will be used to offset your next 2013-14 season ticket payment. For non-renewed accounts, the credit can only be used for 2013 Stanley Cup playoff tickets and/or 2013-14 Panthers tickets, and any balance will be forfeited.

Predators also are putting up a wall with names of people that are not requesting their money back in the arena. You can put whatever name you want. I went with Art Vandelay.

So there was nothing in the fineprint of the agreement that YOU agreed to that granted MLSE certain rights and privileges "in the event of...?"

While your lawyers might have advised you to sue, I'm pretty sure that MLSE's ENTIRE FIRM OF LAWYER'S (along with the other 29 franchise's around the league) have covered their asses every which way on this.

With all due respect. Save your time, effort, lawyer's fees and quite possibly your tickets.

Dear Season Ticket Holder,

As we approach a new month, we wanted to contact all accounts currently enrolled in the payment plan regarding our payment policy during the work stoppage.

Please note, the payment plan will be suspended until a new Collective Bargaining Agreement is finalized. However, once an agreement is reached, the Pittsburgh Penguins reserve the right to take the next scheduled payment on the next business day following the agreement.

If the CBA is finalized later than the 22nd of any month, the Pittsburgh Penguins Box Office will delay payment until the first business day of the next month. If a monthly installment is missed and/or the total games in your package are reduced, your payments will be adjusted accordingly and spread evenly over the remaining months of the payment plan period (through January 2, 2013).

Again, since payments are charged automatically to the credit card on file, we encourage you to maintain updated records with us.

Likewise, you can continue to make payments independent of the payment plan through Account Manager. Simply visit pittsburghpenguins.com/myaccount and select ‘pay now.’ We also encourage you to leave previous payments on your season ticket account. If games are cancelled, these funds will be applied to future games, lowering all remaining payments.

Should you have questions regarding this policy, or your season ticket package, please contact the Penguins Ticketing Department at 412.642.PENS or the Customer Service Department at 412.642.1842.

As always, thank you for your support! We appreciate your patience as we await the season to begin!

Sincerely,
Pittsburgh Penguins Ticketing Department
