I beleive the AHL can run with as many guys on the roster as the like, so it is an interesting question.
Do they perhaps piss a guy off by moving him to the ECHL but he gets playing time or risk having him watch games form the press box as the 3rd string goalie and not progress. |

Both will most likely be 3rd line centers in the NHL, possibly moving up when needed.

The Toronto Marlies announced Thursday, that the start time for the team’s third home game on Saturday, October 20 versus the Hamilton Bulldogs – AHL Affiliate of the Montreal Canadiens – has been changed from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Toronto’s home opener on Saturday, October 13 against the Rochester Americans – AHL affiliate of the Buffalo Sabres – will be carried live on Sportsnet ONE, with puck drop set for 5 p.m. |
