The commentator told the 'Bobby Clark forgot Giroux name during the draft'-story. So you didn't miss that much.

they looked pretty good for 1st game of the year and 1st game with new team in new league. the larger ice surface should really help both. weird seeing danny wearing 84, since 48 was taken. Danny had 3 assists and Giroux 1 goal, 2 assists. on 2 goals briere and giroux had the assists, and for the one giroux scored, danny was the 2nd assist. they each took a penalty, danny for hooking (go figure) and giroux slashing i think. seemed like briere had a good amount of shots on net.

got to hear part of the interview with giroux since obviously he was talking in english, until they started translating in german over top of him then i couldnt really hear what he was saying anymore. their coach is tall as hell, does anyone know what the coach's NHL connections are? seemed like grioux was saying he had NHL experience at some point and time. I am also thinking about selling ad space on the collar of all my dress shirts.

So we've only missed one regular season game so far, but doesn't it feel much more than that? Still can't see the light at the end of the tunnel...

funny, I feel just the opposite. The hockey season always started about a month too early for my tastes (and ended a month too late), so I don't feel like I'm missing a lot right now.

Once that calendar hits November though ...
