Stana is a very good KHL goalie and, while that's not the same as being a good NHL goaltender, it does mean that CSKA really has no need for Bryzgalov. Look at it from the coach's perspective: He's going with the guy he has to count on when the NHL lockout is over. That is why teams have generally avoided signing NHL goalies during the lockout thus far.
CSKA signed Bryzgalov as much for publicity reasons -- they got international press coverage via Reuters for their big introductory PC with Datsyuk and Bryz -- as for any hockey benefits.
If Stana gets injured or falters, Bryzgalov will get more games. Otherwise, I suspect he'll mostly play when there are games on back-to-back days.

Imagine if that's what what his Flyer career ends up being, a back to back night goalie

Well, I'm still hoping the guy who was the NHL Player of the Month and set a franchise shutout streak record in March before the foot injury is closer to the guy the Flyers will get. Let's hope so, at least.

I imagine it's more hip to think the opposite. |

The Flyers have sold 18,200 season tickets for 2012-13. Twelve people have canceled their tickets because of the lockout.
Twelve of 18,200.

Also Matt Read is really a solid player. Flyers did a great job identifying and signing this kid. He's versatile and also looks to be shining as a pivot. |

Agreed. Also, it's too bad Hagelin is a Ranger. He and Read are dynamite together with their speed and skill. |

Thanks for the update.
Both Ian Slater and Stephan Schultz had strong games last night for the Titans as well as Hostetter on defense. |
