Posted this a while ago but so excited for a world class arena.. This inside with the 40/40 club, the court side vip club the players will walk through and the out bowls are amazing. I like the fact the arena will be small hopefully the place will be rocking with better product on the ice.

I should be about 10 feet underwater by Tuesday morning

Nassau Coliseum was filled for the "Haunted Coliseum". It is a techno-music event where everyone dresses up in a costume. Basically, its a rave with a lot of drugs and alcohol.

It got pretty weird apparently

Kabanov injury seems serious

New York Islanders

The New York Islanders prospect could be inactive for a good stretch of time.

According to several sources -- including Michael Fornabaio of the Connecticut Post -- Kirill Kabanov had his left wrist sliced while competing for the AHL Bridgeport Sound Tigers on Friday. The 20-year-old Russian underwent emergency surgery the same night.

Kabanov is expected to be re-evaluated Monday. A timetable for recovery isn't expected before then, but plan to measure the period in weeks, if not months. The towering winger has two assists in four games for the Sound Tigers this season.

I'm about a mile north of the bay in western Suffolk, but the water table is still ridiculous around here. Any really bad rain and we flood like a bastard. Oh well, there will be plenty of hurricane parties to enjoy

The Islanders have stated they are going to go with their current logo.

Their current logo doesn't have Brooklyn on it.

Wouldn't you think that a team playing out of Brooklyn, that has a map on their jersey, would like to have Brooklyn on that map which is on the front of their jersey?

That's what I think could get interesting.
