I would rather they just canceled the year and stop jerking us around. |

I wouldn't. I want to watch Hockey. And I believe we will at some point.

If the NHL & NHLPA go through another three weeks of this and the December games are canceled; all hope is lost! |

Not entirely.
In '94-'95, they were able to bang out an abbreviated 48-game schedule starting on January 20. |

The distance between the two sides isn't great enough for losing an entire Season to make any sense. A lost Season isn't good for anyone. We still have all of November and December to get something done. And I know with the pace that negotiations have gone, that isn't as much time as it seems. But there is certainly still hope in my opnion. |

He's working up a resolution himself like he did in 2004-05, I'm sure. |

I hope your right.... I keep watching games I recorded from last season and when they are on NHL network ( FLYERS only ) and it kills me to more less know what the outcome of the game is going to be.... I think I have watched game 6 vs the Pens 2012 playoffs 15 times and that one does not get old
I hope this gets work out soon
When do you think we will see hockey??
Dec 1?? |

I still have some hope but I know I won't be rushing back to be in house. I'll go but only if I'm given tickets. |

I can't believe this league really thinks another work stoppage is for the good of the league.
I really hope the "best fans" in the world give them a big F U and stay away whenever they decide to play again.
I don't care what anyone says, I won't back people who make more money than I'll ever see in 5 lifetimes complain that they don't have enough. I have lots of other things I am able to do with the evenings and weekends. |

The way I understand it; the players pretty much gave the owners the % they were looking for but want the owners to honor existing contracts... If that's the case the blame should be completely with the owners. |

Yes and No Joe. The players offer get's to 50/50 after a number of years. It's a gradual reduction to 50/50. The League wants an immediate 50/50 share.

I understand it from both sides. The League can't continue giving the players 57%. And I agree that the players shouldn't have to take a salary rollback.

so what would be the best way to make a compromise? I never agreed with the players getting that much over 50% but hey the owners were the ones that said that was the deal they wanted after the last lockout. Now they got the percentage they should be flexible on how it gets there imo. They sure as hell should be willing to honor the contracts they already signed. |
