I don't understand why this player would want to remain anonymous. He made a very mild observation of the current situation and really offered us nothing. In comparison to some of stuff we have heard on the record I really wonder why such a tame view point must be covered by anonymity

It's a lot of words, in sentences, in paragraphs. There's no meaning to fans. How many times can owners and players exhaust this when their actions signify that the complete opposite is true?

Just as the players and owners have a right to fight over millions, fans have a right to balk at dumb poop like this.

I loved that ranch/cattle analogy that was kicked around a month or two ago by Jim Devellano. He forgot to mention that both the ranch and the cattle's co-existence -- in the NHL's world -- only works when the fans are the sheep.

The dude is 38 and probably won't step on this ice again but this guy is standing in front of cameras spewing lawyer rhetoric when he probably didn't even graduate high school. IMO he should keep his mouth shut because that geezer doesn't really have a horse in this race any longer.

"with nothing more invested than the pure love of the game". I love this quote! Not because it's oh so moving, but because to take part in this game as a fan, we must invest something. Specifically, we invest cash! Yes anonymous player, we invest our meager paychecks to watch the best hockey players in the world either live or on TV. But you know what, there is lots of hockey being played that costs a lot less to enjoy, by players trying hard to get drafted, or holding on to a dream. So stop trying to pander to our need and love for hockey, and instead step up, say something real, with substance to help bring some resolution to this farce of a labor stoppage!
