When I read the first line and it said 'blog from nhl player', I thought, 'this is gonna be good (sarastically)'.

I figured he was going to sling mud at the NHL.. complain about bettman and daly and talk about how they are holding out for the 'fringe players' and players of the future. I was expecting to hear a guy all riled up about how the owners and bettman are runing the game.

Instead, it read like an Obama speech (and no, I'm not a republican or even an American). Lots of nice words but absolutely zero substance. That was 3 mins I will never get back.

The Coles notes:

- we want to get back on the ice as soon as possible
- the 'game' is more important than the owners or the players.

If English wasn't his native language, I think it would have been much worse.

Remember, most of these guys don't have an education past high school.... And public highschools in North America are pumping out tons of illiterate graduates these days. This guy probably got a 75% in his grade 12 english class.

They should make a rule that if the players and owners don't get a deal by a certain time (should of been Sept 15) they start loosing money every week....

There's no way we would be missing hockey... and don't give me the "couldn't get the best deal" crap. The draft ends late June... You had July, Aug, early Sept. If 80+ days is not enough to hammer out a good deal, extra months aren't going to bring you want you want.
