When you get this deep into the blogs within blogs, time starts to move much slower and the borders of reality start to blend into each other. It's tough to say what's sketchy and what's not at this point. - 1979AD
It's been verified. Ek posted a picture of the actual fax it came in on.

So you've come on a blog who's sole purpose at this point is to update us on the status of the meetings, to tell us you don't want to read blogs updating us on the status of meetings? - Atomic Wedgie
Did you read the blog? It had nothing to do with updates on the NHLPA NHL negogiations, it was a PR piece on how the NHL player want to get back to the game he loves and fans love...
I get that you are trying to turn this into some proven point of whit, but cmon man give it a rest. Does it every get tiring trying to play the devils advocate?
I come here to get updates on players, my team and I read the odd thing update that can't be ignored. I do not read the major media pieces that are solely on the lockout anymore, I change the channel when Bettman and Fehr come on TSn or Sportsnet.
Its pretty easy to get my point, but I get that you just wanna be crass. |

Exactly, why would a player need to remain anonymous with this, he's not saying anything controversial at all. He's not speaking against the PA or the NHL, any player can come out and say this and it would really make no impact either way. Suspicious to say the least. - 13sundin13
Maybe he isn't real...Na not that... |

Tell that "player" most fans really don't care at the moment, both sides need to STFU and get a deal done, we really don't need to hear from them anymore, they're have done a lot of damage with their constant PR positioning, time to shut up and get it done. - Symba007
can't have said it better.....both sides are too worried about looking good (billionaires -V- millionaires).....both sides talk about the love of the game BS....quit insulting our intelligence.....

Well I hate to burst your bubble, but I got a random fax one day that claimed it could add 3 inches to my penis length if I transferred $750 to them via PayPal. Guess what? I never even got the magic penis cream.
What's the point of this anecdote? Don't believe everything that's faxed. |

I call bullpoop on two things
"no one got into this game for the money"
Bullpoop. I know families who took out a second mortgage on their house to put their kid in a private school that focuses on hockey because they think he will make the NHL. The kid always talks about when he's in the NHL and is rich. Its insane how serous some parents take hockey. I feel bad for the kids sometimes.
"And although we have been blessed to become more than that for a mere moment of our lives"
Bullsheetah. A full NHL career is 15-22 years. That is not a mere moment, that's a quarter of your life. It pisses me off when hockey players who make millions act like they have the same struggles as the rest of us. Hey Players! do you know why it seems like a "mere moment"?? BECAUSE YOU ARE HAVING FUN DOING IT! Nothing that is fun ever seems like it lasts long enough.
I wonder who the little female dog whining this time is? Probably Kesler. |

Just trying to keep the conversation moving, Moondoggie.
Cut me some slack; I've spent the better part of the day (with others) trying to edumacate MJL.
Believe me, it's not easy.

I'll take that as, I get your point.
Ek, you should start allowing fans to write the blogs. You can start with the email I sent the NHLPA about 2 weeks ago....they never did respond. |

No money back; I couldn't even figure out how to contact them. And I'm not married, but the extra 3" was intended to prevent the POF hookups from getting dressed quickly and leaving immediately whilst giggling profusely. I used to have NHL hockey to help keep my mind off all this |

Wow....the NHLPA is trying to pull out all the PR stops now.
I'd like to know why this player didn't want his name mentioned or for all we know, it wasn't a player at all.
Players play for money, plain & simple & if they want the game to get back onto the ice, maybe they should tell Fehr to get his head out of his rear-end & work to get a deal done instead of piss the owners off.
Nice PR move NHLPA, it isn't working though!! |

I actually do believe this blog was written by an NHL player, in that it reflects the writing skills of a high school dropout. - oniremosewa
If you want to have a real laugh just read Kris Barch's statement on TSN , clearly the guy never finished math 101. |

right...
But the guy who wrote it has been through 2 lockouts. So he's been in the league for over 7 years. My guess is that he will be around for a while longer. Even if your career only lasts a year, that's not a mere moment. |

Not saying that I believe this little blurb actually came from an NHL player, but I love this notion that “these problems can be solved ONCE AND FOR ALL!!!!!” You know, you’re never going to come up with a labour agreement that solves any business or industry’s issues/problems from here to eternity. They’re going to need another CBA in 5 years, or 7 years, or 10 years, or whatever. I guarantee it. They may have to change a few things. In fact, they probably will. |

If you only last 1 year then that was a choice you made in your life. If you choose to play hockey instead of getting an education and getting a job then you will suffer the consequences of not being prepared for the world. |
