Thanks, Bill!
I see Maroon plays for the Admirals. I still can't help but wonder what he did to get kicked out of the Flyers organization. Not that I deserve to know, but I can't help but wonder. |

Was told it wasn't one particular incident but a pattern of defying the coaches, and it was felt that he wasn't worth the trouble b/c the organization did not project him as a future NHL player.

I see. When Holmgren gave him the boot he was classy enough not to slander Maroon and give any reasons for his exile. |

I'm sure the rest of the league knew for Holmgren to say enough is enough others took notice but somebody as always will still take a chance. |

wellwood goes from killing penalties in the stanley cup playoffs to a healthy scratch in the AHL... what is going on with him? - Don'tForgetTocchet
He spent the off season training (eating) with his brother. |

If I were in the NHLPA, that would spur me even more to decertify and then sue the owners in a variety of areas that they can't while currently being a union.
But I still think doing that would be the last thing they'll want to try if this still drags on. |

Are the 10-gamers mandatory for head hits in the O now? I like it.

Not explicitly mandatory, but it's become the standard this season. |

Pretty much at least for this season, Chris Buonomo of the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds was suspended for 15 games for a hit to the head on November 7th but he left his feet.

This 2 wk cancellation of gms will cost owners 266 mil and players 126 mil. Yet they're only 182 mil apart in Make Whole. And that's over the 5 years of the deal. Doesn't make much sense. |

That's where I got the information from!
This is even better
So they're $182m apart over 5 years. 182/5 = 36.4m per year. 36.4/30 teams = $1.213m per team. Sound right?".correct
So what's the fricken problem? |

It should be the owners since they initiated the lockout but in the end both have to take equal share of it. |

The owners deserve more blame in my mind, but I think the players have been guilty of excessive pride. Regardless, you're right it'll take two sides (and two renowned negotiators) getting over themselves to put hockey back on the ice. |

Oh they do but the point it is currently at both will have to accept blame, it's past the part you can pick/blame one side nobody comes out a winner at this point. |
