Who are you to question what numbers my kids wear? I could careless what 1488 means good or bad. You are the one thats so worried about it.
Leafs 10 million fans? Where did you get that number?
Yeah fans dont have an impact to get this done bc if fans did we would already be playing hockey.
Once again you DID NOT answer my question.... I guess its bc you dont know - Flyers_1488
I tried to answer your question, but you are too busy looking for an argument. I dont care what you say, until you change the number you are a Nazi. |

I'm new at this posting, so please be kind. I consider myself a hockey fan. I am a homer, this I will admit. I enjoy the draft, checking out data on young players, trying to figure from scouting reports who is going to make it etc. I faithfully watch every flyers game and watch a handful of other games throughout the year. So anyway, I was wondering if any body feels the same way I do. Could someone explain to me why the NHL feels the need to keep so many unprofitable teams? I guess I just don’t understand how a team in the Phoenix or two teams in Florida, etc. make this league profitable. I can understand some, like maybe Edmonton, but not the lower nontraditional teams. I also, don’t understand why a bunch of talented individuals, are complaining about receiving a great paycheck for PLAYING a GAME! I really can’t take sides on the lockout, I think both sides a wrong, the league needs to be a little more accountable to the fans, without us; there will be no league. The NHL also should be more accountable to the profitable owners. If my company had an office which was not pulling its own weight, it would be closed or merged with another office, or the manager of the office would be replaced. The players need to understand without the fans and the owners, they would be nothing other than a man PLAYING a kids game. Both sides need to get off their high horse and understand they are reaping benefits from the fans, people who can’t always afford to spend on luxuries like watching GAMES, but do so because we need that little break from the real-world. The real world which, they All seem so removed from. Sorry for the long post, but I’ve been building this up for some time. |

Player's salaries aren't dictated by their skill level. They are relative to the league's revenues and profits. Player's salaries have gone up more than profits have for certain franchises. Things need to be recalibrated. - Coburns_Nose
Really? How do you explain then that on the Pens, Sidney Crosby make 8.7M a year, and Craig Adams makes 675K? The Pens Owners just like Crosby better? |

Really? Best? Ahead of the Leafs? Habs? NYR? Flyers? Detroit? Boston? - Symba007
This wasn't meant to be a 'my stick is bigger than your stick' post.
Just a different way of saying the Sabres are NEVER leaving Buffalo.
Sabres have a very strong core , make no mistake about that.
Season tickets need a cap because of our solid base.
Just saying really. |

If you are a Capitalist this lockout is normal and as long as there's a demand for the players then they will continue to get market value. If you are a logical human being who puts common sense first and loves hockey, then be mad as hell, I know i am. I know everyone says we will all come crawling back and glue ourselves to HNIC, but i wont. Not until at least 2014. Id rather go to my local ODR and play some pick-up with the neighborhood kids than watch it on TV anyways. |

Does anyone actually know how many franchises do what Buffalo does or have to do what we do, having to put a hard cap on season tickets?
We need to leave tickets for the casual fan and opposing teams fans otherwise their wouldnt be any tickets come gameday.
How many other franchises can boast of this? But the Sabres will be taken out of Buffalo to move to Canada right ?
Yea ok. |

Oh wait, the people in this story are not the players making hundreds of thousands or millions a year. Its the people that make 70k a year.

Not babbling sorry.
I was merely replying to another poster that suggested the Sabres would be moving from Buffalo and just trying to let him know how silly he sounds is all.
Just though I would give a much needed change from the topic you were engaged in.
Sorry but I am new here. I have lurked forever but I decided to join . |
