such a huge risk though ... literally no precedent of following it through to the end... nobody knows what the outcome would be... scary stuff - Thesource
yea no idea what would happen. Could seriously jeopardize the future of the NHL as we know it.
In a communications company no one dept creates that kind of revenue. It's one machine with hundreds of working parts so to speak that help produce that kind of overall revenue obviously unlike professional sports.
But that's really inconsequential to the point, a union is a union is a union. They're all similar in structure and purpose, and they all operate in the same manner. The amount of money they represent is of little to no relevance, they all represent and fight for a group or groups of individuals looking to get the fairest deal and overall wage in relation to their particular trade or business. - MnGump
cool... I thought my union existed to poorly and corruptly manage my retirement income.
As an employee of an NHL team I find it a joke that Donald Fehr is asking a $10,000 stipened for the union. I was initially backing the players on this Lockout, lets face 7 years ago both sides sat out a full year to set back the sport who knows how far, yet they agreed to this deal and now the owners want them to give back a lot on the surface. But with that said as an owner if I am paying my employee their handsome salary guaranteed and then bonuses of more then 50% of renevue there is something off in any business model! And now I have to say Donald Fehr is the issue. He speaks for all NHLPA members, yet more then 2/3rds the players make less the "league average" of 1.2 million dollars. I keep thinking about the many players I know that are not happy about the current situation, and keep their lips zipped for the better of the union (or should I say the better of 1/3rd of the NHLPA) as an eample look at the TSN.CA clip and it is Shane Doan in favor of the status quo and Dan Cleary waivering towards new ideas and resolution; Donald there is nothing worth holding out for at this point - other then your $10,000 stipened. Unlike the MLB of 1994 your union has to give up revenue to make it right - NO end gain! As I struggle to pay my mortgage!!! Mr. Eklund thanks for your time!
"After NBA players used dissolution of their union (through disclaimer of interest) last year , they never got far enough along in their case to get a result because they settled.
"My opinion is that (union dissolution) played some role," Feldman said. "It may have been a small role. …"
Neither group actually followed through and completely dissolved. If the NHLPA dissolve themselves, kiss NHL hockey goodbye for at least 2 or 3 years, possibly longer.

OOPS! I just changed it! But enjoy....
I am just kinda frustraited here at HB. Have you noticed not a single blessed thing that is blogged here comes to be? They rant on so many sides of baseless crappola that when it is solved, I bet some blogger will claim they knew it all along and quote their own blog while ignoring 40 others....
Anyways............ *sigh* Gonna listen to Abbey Road,....
The players should just take what they are being offered. Without being called a jocksniffer because I don't think the owners are in the right, they should just bite the bullet and get it over with. (frank), in 3 years the owners crying about revenues will have shot themselves in the foot again and fringe players like Paccioretty and anybody on the Canucks will have cashed in on redonkulous offers again.

Are you the guy who almost cried watching 'Paul' play a show? - weirdoh
What do you mean 'Almost'??? I cried 38 times. Proud to say it! I may have passed out at one point after screaming like a 16 year old girl from 1964 but that might just be a rumour. Better ask Ek. I would put it as an e3. More to come.

My favorite song by them is And Your Bird Can Sing. Favorite song of all time, actually. Yes It Is is #1b..... - Giroux_Is_God
Those are two John songs.... do you think he was your favorite? I loved Yes It Is .... WAY Ahead of it's time for a 4 part harmony with almost a waltz tempo. I have a bootleg with about 10 versions of it. John's voice was total poop and needed lozenges all the way though. I think one of those cuts in on Anthology.

This is probably closer to the truth:

I own the DVD. It's just a rehash of old stuff but the problem is that, where there were some very weird coincidenses such as the MAgical Mystery Tour Black Flower and "I Was" sticker... and especially all the times paul appears on an album cover with a hand over his head. It's crazy ... look that one up.
But he does too far and takes the stupid ones and treid to give it equal credibility.
For a better read (and shorter) try the chapter devoted to it in "The Beatles Forever" by N. Shaffer

I can't pick a favorite. I'm a little partial to Paul, I guess, since I always sing his harmonies and Dad takes John's....
It's tough to pick a favorite Generally, though, not enough love for King George. I Need You, If I Needed Someone, Here Comes the Sun obviously, It's All Too Much, You Like Me too Much....all his songs are great!
My favorites out of the Beatles though in no particular order (even though all their songs are amazing) are Let It Be (album version), We Can Work It Out, This Boy, I'll Follow the Sun, In My Life, Mother Nature's Son, Yer Blues....I could go on and on

Those were mostly done on purpose- all the backwards recordings and the open palms (especially in Sgt Pepper) and his pose walking across Abbey Road....all on purpose.
There are strange coincidences though- most notably "28 if" on the plate of one of the parked cars on Abbey Road.

So let me get this straight.
Pomminville (team captain) of the Buffalo Sabres has been staying in Buffalo with teammates practicing here ever since September.
Now we are hearing here that he is going to go play for his friend and team mates team (Jochen Hecht in Germany) all of a sudden and the needle on the meter went up?
I must say I am a bit confused by this. Pommers is "in touch" and I dont think Pommers would be looking to leave now and go play overseas all of a sudden if he thought a deal would be getting done soon.
Pommers leaving pretty much tells me the situation looks bleak at best!
The cause is not allowing the Owners to repeatedly take from the players, due to the Owner's lack of ability to manage their business properly. The cause is to have the contract that they signed in good faith, honored by the men who agreed to it. - MJL
Actually, if you read a player's contract, it is always made subject to the CBA and, therefore, always subject to change through collective bargaining. Knowing that, the top free agents in 2012 signed contracts with huge up-front signing bonuses that kicked in prior to the expiration of the current CBA.
This site will die if there is no season.
There is like no life in this place at all - FLYERSROCK!
What? No way. Have you looked at ek's boner meter? We're so close to a deal apparently!
There will be no season. Meetings with owners will do nothing. Bettman Is just a puppet. Do people really think its his ego holding this up? What a joke.
