Bill, I'd love to see you or someone else ask hard questions about the positions both sides have staked out and ask "is this really that important?" Even better, I'd love to see you or someone else look at the positions each side has and compare it to the actual problems from the 2005 CBA, and ask "really, does this fix it?"
My view is that there's a lot of band-aids being put on and hailed as "solutions" to the problems that exist, but most of the core problems are either being intentionally ignored or being misinterpreted. As a result, in 3-4 years (maybe less) some (most? all?) of these problems will creep up yet again along with new problems that get created as a result of these band-aids, and we'rea all sitting around saying "really, they didn't fix that? How the hell did they not do that?" It just seems like no one in the media has done the same thing - and I'd like to see someone do that.
