I think it is hard to qualify that the big market teams are footing the bill for the small market teams given the current revenue sharing in the NHL.

The last CBA had sharing dollars at $150M if I'm not mistaken which based on previous revenues would amount to a whopping 4.5%. So how exactly is that "footing the bill"?

Elliott Friedman asked Daly straight up for a yes or no answer...Will we have a season? Daly said yes.

It was weird. Friedman told him he couldn't say "I don't know" and Daly listened. He obviously can't say no...but...just shouldn't answer.

That's fine but you have to allow time and ability for teams to become compliant

The mulligan confuses me in one respect.... It one breath it is good for Vancouver and Luongo and in the next breath it is bad for Vancouver and Luongo.

I like the concept of a mulligan as it would stop a Gomez becomming an albatross for years but do not think it good for a Luongo or Kovalchuck who still play at a high rate and are only sold off due to outside forces.

Maybe a Mulligan could be a once in three year seasons thing.

Maybe a team could trade it's mulligan.
