Bruno Gervais should stay over there, quite possibly one of the worst Dmen I've evers seen play the game. Or should I say be allowed to play the game at a professional level. From what I hear he's a great cook though - Cptmjl
People in glass houses shouldn't throw stones. There are so many things wrong with the Islanders that you are really inviting criticism on yourself by saying something so critical of Gervais. |

Bill, It seem that there are so many good things about Ghost. How many years do think it will be before he is wearing Orange and Black?
Also, btw, thanks for the video clips yesterday. They were great. my 8 year old son and I loved them. |

I personally would think that if Bruno Gervais was so bad as a defenseman, that Paul Holmgren and his Pro Scouting staff would be aware of that. |

Oh yeah? Get back to me on that one. He's terrible, whether I'm a fan of a terrible team or not is not relevant. |

I have been an Islander fan since they've existed pretty much, I've heard it all. If you think criticism of my team especially from some yahoo on here is going to ruin my day you're nuts. I'm probably more critical of the Islanders than anyone else even fan's of other teams. What this has to do with whether Gervais is a good player or not I don't know? I just find it fascinating that someone so bad can continue to get work in the NHL? The guy is that bad. His awfulness stood out on a God awful team. |

Of course, if he played in my beer league he may be a 3rd or 2nd pairing |

Sure, it's all relative.
For Tampa Bay last year Gervais led all defensemen in goal scoring (only playing 50 games) and high -4 plus minus stat was better than Hedman, Brewer, Lee, Clark and Aulie. He had the least PIMs of all of their defensemen. He was one of their better defensmen.
For the Flyers he just has to come in and be a decent #6 defenseman who will see some time on the power play. |

Stats mean nothing. (unless they support your argument, then they mean everything)

I'm not being critical of him because he is on another team. Believe me. I forgot he was even a Flyer till today quite honestly. If he was such a great defenseman better than Hedman, Brewer, etc why wouldn't have Steve Y kept him especially for the price he would have came at? It makes zero sense. You'll be cringing every time you see him with the puck once the season starts. Even on our team I couldn't understand how he continued to get ice time? |
