Thought so. Of the three teams that had a chance to win the pool (Canada, US or Russia), Russia gave themselves the EASIEST SCHEDULE BY FAR, and it's brutally obvious.

they all play the same teams....

Reinhart can barely play in this tournament, let alone the NHL. He has been supremely disappointing.

I think the point of the discussion is to make the team better, not worse.

i actually agree with you on something which is surprising. ryan murphy is garbage. his feet move faster then his hands do and he losses the puck all the time, gets really annoying. i am sure there are many other capable defenseman canada could have brought to this tournament. such a one-dimensional player and that dimension he is terrible at. Would have rathered Dumba, Pouliot or even Sproule, not to mention Ceci and others that weren't even invited to the camp.

I don't think they have set up an easier schedule for themselves, they still have to play the same teams as Canada. They've just set it up so that their game are at primetime (6pm Ufa=7am Edmonton/5am Toronto).

Corrado isn't better than Reinhart, he is just different. Reinhart and Wotherspoon could/should be used as a shutdown pairing with Harrington thrown with either of them if they are having problems.

Jones looked even worse than the ice today. In the draft I say -

1 - MacKinnon
2 - Barkov
3 - Jones
4 - Drouin
5 - Shinkaruk

Also, what's the story on that Gaudreau kid? He looks just as slick as Drouin IMO.

Nuh uh, they are in the future. My telus satellite has the game at the 7am. If I miss something none of you bastards had better ruin it for me.

I haven't checked the times I just meant Toronto is two hours ahead of edmonton. If edmonton is 7am which would make sense, Toronto is 9am. So.... Yuuuhhh huhhh

If you're going by what you've seen this tournament, then what has Barkov done to jump that high?

I haven't seen Elias lindholm play but he's consistently mentioned in the top 5 mix. Wish I could see barkov play but hasn't been televised for me. Jones had some mental lapses but if he falls to three the team there will be laughing all the way to the podium. I love his offensive zone play.

It's much closer than most thought, I am not even sure McKinnon will go first anymore, the top 4 guys are all VERY close (McKinnon/Jones/Barkov/Drouin), would not be surprised to Drouin go ahead of McKinnon.

I never said it was based on the tournament, it's just what I think will be the end result.

Ahh okay. Seemed like that after you ripped on Jones for having a bad game. This is one of those drafts where the top 10 all seem promising.

I'd imagine him going around 6 or seven, either ahead or behind of Sean Monahan.

It really does, but outside of that, there's not much depth. I want to know what happened to MacKinnon, though. He used to be an absolute solid lock for 1st, and he's losing it quickly.

The only reason this happens is because the past few drafts have seen a plethora of dmen taken, so teams may feel they need offensive help/depth more than Dmen at this point.

I'm not talking about stats; I just mean he plays a lot like Drouin.
